15th Annual Cajun Fest

Sept. 4 | 5:30-9:30pm | Laramie County Community College, 2800 W. Lincolnway

Recovery Wyoming's Annual Cajun Fest Fundraiser & Recover Celebration returns for its 15th year! This is their main fundraising event. Enjoy a catered Cajun dinner, program updates, recovery speaker Joleen Van Norman, a live and silent auction, and a comedy performance by Dominic Syracuse and Von Sprecken. All funds raised goes toward Rover Wyoming's live-saving programs and services.

Teen After-Hours: Karaoke

Sept. 4 | 5:00-8:00pm | Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave.

Brush up your vocal cords for Teen After Hours: Karaoke in the Cottonwood Room at the library. From bold belters to first-time singers, all 7th-12th graders are welcome. There is no registration required, but you will need a permission slip which can be found on the LCLS website or at the second floor Ask Here desk. Bring your friends for an evening of melodic good times!

Cheyenne's Farmers Market

Sept. 5 | 8:00am-2:00pm | CFD Parking Lot, 8th Ave. & Hynds Blvd.

Cheyenne's original and longest-running farmers market returns this week in the Cheyenne Frontier Days parking lot. Hosted by Community Action of Laramie County, it is one of CALC's largest annual fundraisers. It is the only farmers market in Cheyenne that accepts EBT/Snap benefits and has token programs for those that qualify to access fresh, local foods. See you at the market!

Rollin' Reads Grand Opening

Sept. 5 | 10:00am-3:30pm | Central Cafe, 3920 Central Ave. #1

Rollin' Reads is officially opening its doors this weekend! Their Grand Opening has finally arrived and will include books, coffee, and friendly whimsy vibes all around. Rollin' Reads is Cheyenne's newest, locally owned, mobile bookstore. The owner started Rollin' Reads to create a space by a book lover, for book lovers. Stop by and discover your next page turner.

Decoupage Pumpkin Workshop

Sept. 5 | 10:30am-12:00pm | Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, 710 S. Lions Park Dr.

Get crafty and ready to welcome fall at the Decoupage Pumpkin Workshop. You'll be guided through the delightful and artistic process process of decoupaging plastic pumpkins. The pumpkins will be provided in a variety of sizes and colors. Each participant will receive three pumpkins and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required.

Chili Cook-Off w/ Raffle

Sept. 5 | 11:00am-3:00pm | Blue Raven Brewery, 209 E 18th St.

It's chili time! Head on over to the Blue Raven Brewery to support a great cause and eat plenty of chili and trimmings. Hosted by different community organizations, proceeds will benefit local children at the Stride Learning Center. The raffle will feature a liquor crate as one of the main prizes, valued at over $500. Let's support our community's kids.

Bonnie Rait with Jon Cleary

Sept. 5 | 7:30pm | Cheyenne Civic Center, 510 W 20th St.

Next up in the Cheyenne Presents lineup is the thirteen-time Grammy winner Bonnie Rait. Her unique style of blending blues, R&B, rock, and pop earned her a place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and, Rolling Stone placed her #54 on their recently updated list of the "250 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and one of the "100 Greatest Singers of All Time". Sure to be a night to remember!

Sunday Makers Market w/ Esteban Morado

Sept. 6 | 11:00am-3:00pm | Frontier Mall, 1400 Dell Range Blvd.

Despite being cut short due the wind last week, the Sunday Makers Market returns this weekend! Esteban Morado will be joining the festivities with live music. Browse and shop local vendors and makers. Munch and sip on food and drinks from food trucks. Come support a local musician and local makers.
